The photographer said that the photos he took in the supermarket was to attempt to subvert this structure of power. He sees the supermarket space as a space of manipulation. He took a series of photographs displaying supermarket products divided per colour.

Use of bleach in images above.
Using the negative versions of my images on acetate, I created photograms in the darkroom.
In these images I used a postive acetate which turned the print into a negative.
After creating normal photograms, I painted on the developer to exaggerate the blur.
The photo on the left was done by putting my printed out photograph into a tray of water. It didn't do much apart from drain some of the colour out to make it look more washed out. For the second image, I mixed some bleach into the water to dilute it a little bit, dipped my paintbrush into it and flung it to create a splattered look onto the picture.
